Golden Lyon

The Golden Lyon was an inn in Cheapside which appears in the 1685 survey of Preston, at which time a Mr John Parker was innkeeper. He is likely to be the John Parker who appears frequently in the court leet records between 1680 and 1713. [1] The inn gets a single mention in the Bellingham/Rawstorne diaries (4 July 1689).
