Springhams

Thomas Bellingham in his diary mentions his Springham cousins visiting Preston from 27 August until 12 September 1688, when they left for Liverpool. Bellingham refers to meeting one of the cousins, T. Springham, in Liverpool on 2 October and records one of the Springhams in Preston the following day. The diaries refer to their being two Mr Springhams.

It is is possible that they were from Dublin. Springhams were prominent members of the Protestant gentry in the city in the 17th century with members of the family appearing in the list of High Sheriffs of Dublin.
