Harrison, Richard – vicar of Poulton

Richard Harrison was the eldest son of the Rev Joseph Harrison of Newton-with-Scales, curate of Lund in Kirkham until ejected in 1662. Richard was born in 1648, attended Brasenose College, Oxford, and took his BA degree in 1667. He was curate at Brindle and Goosnargh before becoming vicar of Poulton in 1674 on the nomination of Richard Fleetwood of Rossall. He married Anne, the daughter of Richard Shaw of Preston, in 1669 and, after her death in 1697, he married Elizabeth Stanley. He died in 1714. [1]
